The Adolph Wagner Home, located in Monona, is undergoing some restoration work. Guttersmiths was hired to install 6″ Galvalume half round gutters with 4″ round downspouts. This half round project required a special type of hanger because of the crown moulding on the fascia board. Galvalume is an aluminum-zinc alloy that holds up well to the elements and provides a nice mill finish aesthetic. For more info on Galvalume and the Adolph Wagner House, please visit the links below:

Middleton Copper Bay Windows
•August 30, 2011 • Leave a CommentCopper Bay windows are beautiful accents to any home. This house was hit by some heavy hail earlier this year and needed the roofs replaced. Hoffman Weber Construction hired us to replace the hail damaged copper swale roofs that are tucked up inside of the EIFS (synthetic stucco) walls. We bent up all new drip edge and panels and curved the panels ourselves. The trickiest part was the triangles, which had to be hand cut and bent into place.
Copper Bay Window Roofs on Red Fox Trail
•August 30, 2011 • Leave a CommentThis beautiful home on Madison’s west side was hit with some hail damage. The roof, gutters and copper bay windows were damaged and needed replacing. Hoffman Weber Construction hired us to replace the old damaged white 5″ k style gutter with new gutter and replace the downspouts with new 2×3′s. We also replaced the dented copper roofs with new shiny copper. Everything was bent up by us from the drip edge to each individual panel to the counter flashing mounted into the brick.
Maple Bluff Half Round Copper
•July 29, 2011 • Leave a CommentThis homeowner had some very large commercial sized half round copper installed to catch the water rushing from the copper panel roof up above. We were hired to install snow gems to the copper panels and replace the commercial sized half round with some 6” copper half round. The larger gutter that we replaced was misshapen from sliding snow and ice and no longer drained the water properly.
Monroe Half Round Copper
•June 29, 2011 • Leave a CommentThis ranch style home in Monroe, WI was situated on the country club there, overlooking the golf course. The home underwent extensive interior remodeling, along with a new deck, roof, siding, and gutters outside. We installed 6” copper half round gutters and smooth round downspouts. Many people choose corrugated to match their old downspouts, but I like the clean look of smooth and think it still achieves a historic feel to the install. I’ll try to throw together a blog post comparing the two
with some photos

Sun Prairie K-Style
•May 20, 2011 • Leave a CommentWe travel all over the Madison area to install gutters, but once in a while we get to work right in our own neighborhood. This house, just seconds from our own, needed some new gutters and we were more than happy to help. We installed new 5” k-style gutter all around the home and upgraded the downspouts to larger 3”x 4” for better drainage. The home owner was also interested in more protection from falling leaves so we installed leaf screens on all of the gutters as well.

•April 29, 2011 • Leave a CommentWe were given the opportunity to replace old galvanized gutters with new 6″ copper half round gutter. The system that we used to install these new copper gutters was a wraparound roof strap method, which works very well when decorative crown molding prevents the use of fascia mount brackets. Complementing the copper half round gutter were beautiful corrugated copper downspouts. We also set up a rain barrel for Ms. Yasko, who is an awesome gardener.
p.s. thanks Carol for the espresso!
5” K Style in Indian Trail
•April 14, 2011 • Leave a CommentOn the west side of Madison, off of University Ave. we installed new 5″ k style gutter. The homeowner recently had a new roof and fascia wrap put onto his house. In the rear of the home we had to split the gutter into two sections because of the way his dish was positioned. this house also needed a splash block installed in the front of the house, so we fabricated a new template that was more sturdy and appealing to the eye.
